On Sunday, faithful from across St Joseph’s Deanery (East Ayrshire) joined Bishop Frank and the priests of the Deanery for the Annual Pilgrimage to the Birnieknowe – the original site of Our Lady and St Patrick’s Church (now in Auchinleck).
The Mass was the August Diocesan Mass to the Holy Spirit and, in his homily, Bishop Frank reflected on the gifts of the Spirit and their operation in our lives. Bishop Frank also noted the importance of the Birnie in the lives of many of the faithful gathered for Mass.
