RCIA

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process through which adults prepare to enter the Catholic Church. It is intended for those who have never been baptised, those who have been baptised in another Christian tradition, and Catholics who have not yet received the Sacraments of Confirmation or Eucharist.

During the RCIA journey participants meet regularly with the priest and members of the parish community to learn about the Catholic faith, prayer and the life of the Church.

Preparation normally takes place from the Autumn until Easter. During the season of Lent there are special moments of prayer and reflection, and the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist are usually celebrated at the Easter Vigil.

Anyone interested in becoming Catholic, or who would like to learn more about the Catholic faith, is warmly invited to contact the parish priest for further information.
